I.W.I. has uncovered strong evidence that suggests the terrorist group known as the Hamas may of been behind the recent CIA email hack. The director of the C.I.A., John Brennan, recently had his public AOL email account hacked. Apparently a teenager tricked Verizon into giving him private account information on Brennan’s cell phone account. The teen hacker was able to then use that information to gain access to Brennan’s public email account with AOL. The hackers then read through emails which contained the social security numbers of government employees, various documents such as a document on interrogation tactics, and other sensitive information.
Nobody saw the connection to the Hamas…
The Hacker went by @phphax on Twitter. While this account was deleted on Twitter it was still archived on an internet archive website at the time we checked. We found the screenshot you see to the right showing that the hacker has joined forces with Qassam HaCker (@QassamOfficial on Twitter). Qassam Hacker works for the Al-Qassam, a hacker group for the Hamas. That makes it very possible that the sensitive information stolen from the hacks is now in the hands of a terrorist organization.
So what did they get?
- Social Security Numbers, Dates of Birth, and Cell phone numbers of both Government Employees and Government Contractors
- The CIA directors entire email contact list, hundreds of email addresses and names.
- Intelligence Documents, for example a document detailing interrogation tactics.
It is also very possible that more information was stolen that we haven’t heard about yet.
